Day 1 : Arrival in Yangon

Activities : Arrive in Yangon, visit the Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda, KandawguiPark and Shwedagon Pagoda

Itinerary : Welcome to Yangon, the capital of Myanmar, the city of French colonial buildings and Buddhist temples. After check in the hotel, we will have a brief city tour of Yangon and the first stop is the awesome 70 meter high Buddha at Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda. Then enjoy the beauty of Kandawgui Park while tasting the tea made by the locals. Before sunset, get to the spiritual Shwedagon Pagoda – a spiral gold covered pagoda and awe struck with its ethereal beauty.

Day 2 : Yangon – Bagan

Activities : Fly to Bagan and explore the land of the temples

Meal : Breakfast

Itinerary : For the second day in Myanmar, we will temporarily leave the peaceful capital city of Yangon and fly to Bagan – the city of holy temples.
With more than 2000 ancient temples, Bagan is one of the must – visit places in Myanmar. The city of Bagan was built in the 9th century and during about 400 years (from 9th to 13th century) this place had become home to more than 10,000 temples – an incredible number. Due to war and the collapsing of the empires in the Burmese history, Bagan has been destroyed partly and also the number of temples is not so unbelievable but still deserved to be proud of.
The major type of temples in Bagan is the stupa with spiral style like Silver Pagoda in Phnom Penh. Some of them become the must – see temples when coming here like Ananda Temple – a masterpiece of the Indian and Mon architectural style, Bupaya Temple – with its huge golden stupa at the entrance, Dhammayangyi Temple – a 12th century temple with Buddha statues inside.

Day 3 : Bagan

Activities : Explore Nyaung U and the neighboring villages, travelling around the IrrawaddyRiver and visit the temple of Kyauk Gu U Min before peek into the Sae Lan village and back to Bagan

Meal : Breakfast

Itinerary : Bagan is not only famous for its numerous temples but also well-known for its culture and customs. Nyaung U will be the name that anyone coming here can not miss. In this local village, we will experience the craftsmanship of the local through their cute product like plum jam, lacquer ware and bullock carts.
In the afternoon, leaving the traditional villages of Nyaung U and take a boat trip on the great Irrawaddy River with its specialized species, the Irrawaddy Dolphins. After about an hour we will reach the temple of Kyauk Gu U Min, a desolate temple of the east Nyaung U town. Then, we complete the day with the visit to Sae Lan village and witness the daily life of the locals as farmers and fisherman before come back to Bagan.

Day 4 : Bagan – Heho – InleLake

Activities : Fly to Heho, enjoy the InleLake, Shan Hills, the weaving village of Inpawkhone

Meal : Breakfast

Itinerary : Say goodbye to the plains of temple Bagan, we take a flight to Heho and enjoy the beauty of Inle Lake – the second largest lake of the country and also a part of the spectacular Shan Hills. Then moving deeper in the surrounding forest, we will see many houses on stilts, unique leg-rowing fishermen and solemn pagodas.
In the afternoon, we will experience the traditional product of the area by taking a visit of the weaving village of Inpawkhone where you can see the how thread are separated and the best cheroot are made.

Day 5 : In Dein – InleLake

Activities : Exploring InleLake: visit the Pa-Oh village of Indein, Kyar Ton village then reaching the Tharlay village

Meal : Breakfast

Itinerary : One day is not enough to experience all the beauty of Inle Lake and its surrounding scenes so we will spend today enjoying the whole natural beauty of this awesome lake. A boat trip will take us travel around the lake and visit the Pa-Oh village of Indein – a typical Burmese village then move to Kyar Ton village and have a delicious lunch with peaceful surrounding scenery.
In the afternoon, a canoe will take us to Tharlay village which has numerous stilted houses and floating gardens with various fruits and vegetables like the floating villages in Cambodia and Vietnam.
Afterward, back to the hotel and relax with spa or whatever.

Day 6 : InleLake – Yangon – Depature

Activities : Back to Yangon, free at leisure or take a city tour if possible

Meal : Breakfast

Itinerary : After breakfast, fly back to Yangon where the day is your leisure until your departure flight. If time allows, try one of our unique ‘insider tours’, one focusing on art and another on food to further explore the enigmatic city or head to the market for last minute souvenir shopping.
