Explore the changing face of Vietnam while cycling from Hanoi to Saigon ,Visit rural villages, working pagodas, rice paddies, local markets, and more ,Vietnam’s rice paddies, jungles, and beaches as our backdrop….

Vietnam is a Southeast Asian country on the South China Sea known for its beaches, rivers, Buddhist pagodas and bustling cities. Hanoi, the capital, pays homage to the nation’s iconic Communist-era leader, Ho Chi Minh, via a huge marble mausoleum. Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) has French colonial landmarks, plus Vietnamese War history museums…

 

 

Day 01: Hanoi – Mai Chau (home-stay) (/L/D) (55 km)
Have breakfast at your hotel, check out and drive to Mai Chau through Hoa Binh province. Cycling to Thong Khe Pass Have lunch on the way then riding on single track through Thai minority villages. Ride past terraced fields and beautiful valleys. Overnight in a stilt-house of Thai-tribe village . O/N in Poom Coong Village .

Day 02: Mai Chau – Nhu Xuan (B/L/D) (90 km)
Leave Mai Chau in the early morning, ride on a small track and paved trails along the Ma river until we reach Cam Thuy town, where we stop for lunch. We start cycling on Ho Chi Minh trail (now a newly built highway) all the way to Nhu Xuan town. The hilly mountains roads to Ngoc Lac will allow you to challenge your riding skills. Continue riding to Nhu Xuan in late afternoon. Overnight in Nhu Xuan

Day 03: Nhu Xuan – Do Luong – Nam Dan -Vinh (B/L/) (80 km)
Today, we have a chance to visit Uncle Ho’s house. Nam Dan district, Kiem Lien village is not only the homeland of Ho Chi Minh but also the hometown of many anti-colonist leaders. Ride on the new Ho Chi Minh highway to Kiem Lien village via Tan Ky and Do Luong. Visit Uncle Ho house in the afternoon, have a short drive to Vinh city. Overnight in Vinh.

Day 04: Vinh – Dong Loc T-junction – Huong Khe (B/L/D) (90 km)
In the morning, ride to Dong Loc, the T-junction, which has become unforgettable memorial history in the country during 1964-1972, when soldiers, young volunteers, cadres, and workers guaranteed safe transport to the battlefield. Many people from different localities laid down their lives. In particular, the death of 10 young volunteer girls at Dong Loc T-junction has come to symbolize the patriotism of the era. Now, Dong Loc T-junction relic has become a commemorative area for the national young volunteer force. In the afternoon, ride to Huong Khe.

Day 05: Huong Khe – Phong Nha National Park (B/L/D) (90 km)
Start cycling from a hotel to Dong Hoi via Phong Nha World Heritage. Ride nearly 90 km winding roads up the Truong Son mountain range to Phong Nha. ( if time permitting we will take a boat to visit the cave ) . O/N in Phong Nha hotel.

Day 06: Phong Nha – Khe Sanh (B/L/D) (90 km)
Today, we cycle south through the DMZ where Viet Cong and US soldiers clashed when the country was divided. Follow the eastern Ho Chi Minh trails to visit Truong Son cemetery, and cycle to Khe Sanh via Cam Lo. Overnight in Khe Sanh.

Day 07: Khe Sanh – A Luoi (B/L/D) (90 km)
In the morning we head south over the Da Krong Bridge (built by the Cubans in 1973) then jump into back roads and keep riding through remote villages to a A Luoi. Overnight in A Luoi

Day 08: A Luoi – Hue (B/L/) (60 km)
The bike ride of today is easy, the terrain is flat. The distance of biking is 60 km. We will have a bus transfer for the last 14 km to the former capital of Vietnam. Overnight in Hue city.

Day 09: Hue city tour (B/L/) (40 km)
Spend a whole day on visiting, explore the Forbidden Citadel, Royal Tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty and by bicycle in the morning. Ride on hilly country roads to Thanh Toan tile-roofed Bridge crosses a canal flowing from the beginning to the end of Thanh Toan village, Thuy Thanh Commune, Huong Thuy District.

Day 10: Hue – Hoi An (B/L/) (100 km)
Have breakfast and transfer to the outskirts of Hue, Thuan An Dist. Start riding on the coast roads to Phuoc Tuong Pass. Pedal past colorful ancient burial-grounds, rice farming land, and fishing villages. Have lunch in Lang Co beach, after lunch, pedal uphill to the top of Hai Van Pass, then downhill to the Pass of Hai Van. Transfer by van to Hoi An in the late afternoon.

Day 11: Hoi An (B) (no cycling)
Free time to discover Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Cultural site. Swimming …

Day 12 : Hoi An – My Son (B/L/) (40 km)
Start riding from Hoi An to My Son, the Champa Imperial city of the 4th to 12th centuries. Ride through rural villages to My Son, spend an hour visiting the large complex of religious ruins comprising more than 70 architectural remains. Transfer back to Hoi An for lunch. Free for shopping in town of Hoi An.

Day 13 : Hoi An – Quang Ngai (B/L/D) (90 km)
Have breakfast at the hotel and check out. Cycle south of Hoi An to Cua Dai beach and cross Thu Bon river. Ride on back roads through yellow sand dunes to Tam Ky. Have lunch before transferring to Chau O for an afternoon bike ride. Ride on country roads to My Lai village to visit the memorial of the massacre to remember 504 locals who died. Continue cycling to the hotel in the town of Quang Ngai.

Day 14 : Quang Ngai – Qui Nhon (B/L/D) (80 km)
A morning transfer to ocean villages on the outskirts of Quang Ngai. Ride through rice fields and rural villages and coconut tree plantations along the ocean. Lunch at a local restaurant, then continue an afternoon of riding on beautiful back roads through mountainous areas to the city of Qui Nhon. Transfer for 20 minutes to the city of Qui Nhon.

Day 15 : Qui Nhon – Nha Trang (B/L/) (85 km)
Transfer 30 minutes to the suburb of Qui Nhon city, start cycling on back roads and racing with the Reunification train, rocking and rolling on bike on hilly back roads. Have a picnic lunch, continue your bike ride in the afternoon and finish today’s ride in countryside of Tuy Hoa. Transfer to Nha Trang in the late afternoon. Overnight in Nha Trang.

Day 16 : Nha Trang boat trip (B/L/)
Boat trip to the Island for swimming and snorkeling for the whole day.Lunch on boat .Boat back to Nha Trang free for swimming . Free in the evening.( Sharing boat tour and water sport ,tickets not included ).

Day 17 : Nha Trang – Dalat (B/L/) (90 km)
Transfer 30 minutes to Dien Khanh ancient town, start to pedal easily on back roads in the morning, pedal past brick factories, rice fields, and have lunch en route. In the afternoon, continue to pedal rolling hills, and cross Truong Son mountain range to Dalat. Overnight in Dalat.

Day 18 : Dalat city tour (B/L/) (20 km)
Enjoy a half-day city tour by bus/van in the morning. Visit Bao Dai palace and the old French railway station. Lunch in town, in the afternoon, ride a 20 km loop on country roads, passing by flower gardens and strawberry plantations.

Day 19 : Dalat- Phan Thiet (B/L/D) (90 km)
Transfer for an hour south of Dalat. Ride on rolling hills through a valley, mountain area, hydroelectric power station and coffee plantations in the morning. In the afternoon, cycle down hill passing many minority villages and cashew garden as we head to to Phan Thiet.

Day 20 : Phan Thiet – Lagi – Saigon (B/L) (60 km)
Starting your last day of cycling on asphalt coastal roads from countryside of Phan Thiet city .Lunch on the way before a transfer to Saigon in the late afternoon. Check in hotel . Say goodbye your team . End The Tour .
